OpenText Corporation released its 2010 product roadmap, outlying planned development solutions for Web content management, digital asset management, and social media solutions for the coming year. The plan prominently featured recently acquired Vignette, as well as a variety of new web solutions meant to adapt to the changing needs of the digital marketplace.

In related news, OpenText launched Vignette Portal 8.0. Vignette Portal 8.0 is the newly revamped site-creation portal originally deployed by Vignette, which was acquired by OpenText earlier this year. The site enables users to rapidly create or clone microsites and dynamically syndicate content through "portlets" or Web applications.
